  • Washington Law & Politics Super Lawyers. Washington Law & Politics is a monthly magazine that focuses on legal and legislative matters. Lawyers throughout Washington are systematically polled on a yearly basis as to which of their peers are the most highly regarded. Steven Fury and William Bailey have been honored yearly as super lawyers since 1999. In 2001, William Bailey was designated as one of the Top 30 Super Lawyers in the state of Washington.

  • Washington State Trial Lawyers Association (WSTLA), Trial Lawyer of the Year. WYSTLA has over 3,000 members and is the voice of the Washington plaintiff's bar. Since 1978, the organization has given a "Trial Lawyer of the Year" award to that lawyer who has best represented skill, courage and high ethics in respecting plaintiffs. William Bailey received this honor in 1991.

  • The Best Lawyers in America. Steven Naifeh and Gregory W. Smith conduct a nationwide survey of all lawyers in America to determine who are regarded by their peers as having the highest professional standards and level of skill. Steven Fury has been so honored every year since 1997.

  • American Trial Layers of America, Galaxy of Rising Stars. For a number of years, the American Trial Lawyers has nominated a select group of younger lawyers around the United States to appear as faculty in its prestigious Galaxy of Rising Stars. William Bailey received this honor in 1991 and traveled to New Orleans, LA to give his acclaimed lecture, "Lessons From LA Law", which was subsequently published in Trial magazine.

  • American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA). The American Board of Trial Advocates is a national honorary organization for the trial bar in which membership is by invitation only. It is divided between members of the plaintiffs and the defense trial bar. In 2001, fewer than 70 members had been selected from the over 27,000 members of the Washington State Bar. William Bailey was elected to ABOTA in 1993 and

  • Washington State Bar Association. The Board of Governors of the bar association passes periodic resolutions to honor members of the legal profession for their outstanding public service. On September 8, 1995, William Bailey was recognized as a member and Chair of the Disciplinary Board, which governs the ethics and professional licenses of all attorneys in Washington.

  • National Institute for Trial Advocacy. The National Institute for Trial Advocacy is and acclaimed program dedicated to training trial lawyers in the use of courtroom skills. Both Steven Fury and William Bailey have participated as faculty for many years. Steven Fury has the additional distinction of creating an original case file for this program, Fisher v. Yankee Doodle Corporation, which has been used for 16 years, now in its fourth edition.
